Tip of the day: Chipped / Scratched Car Paint repaired
My hubby found something during our recent outing to the local supermarket. There’s a product called Turtle Wax Color Cure. What it apparently does is that it is a wax, but it also comes with something that looks like an oversized lipstick, made of car paint. It has various car colors on it.
Our car has some minor scratches and chips from our daily use, and we decided to give it a try. The instructions are simple enough – wash the damaged section, apply the lipstick (same color, of course – ours is dark blue) evenly, and when it has dried, wax it thoroughly with the wax supplied. Results are quite good, I must say – it covered the minor damage without any visible signs (unless you inspect it very closely). Hubby also says that it’s good to protect the metal underneath, as our tropical climate might corrode the metal if it’s not covered with paint.
In Malaysia, it’s retailed at MYR39.90. Check it out if it’s available at your local stores. I highly recommend this for minor paint damage since it saves you form a touch-up paint job which could cost hundreds. Ciao.
