Tip of the Day: Help - my fish is stuck in the pan!!

Sounds familiar? Have you ever got in a situation where the fish you fry sticks to the pan, and the only way to remove it is by scraping the flesh off the pan? I know some of us have that problem - it's basically part of the 'Cooking 101' experience. And it's not just fish either - chicken meat, eggs and a host of other stuff as well.

Well, MOM always had an answer to these sort of problems. Here's one you can try: Take one or two pieces of garlic, wash it, remove its skin and press it a little bit so the juice comes out. Cook it with the fish / chicken / whatever you're frying, and take it out only after you've finished frying. Since it's burnt, you can't really eat it, just throw it away. Use more garlic pieces for larger items you plan to fry.

There - I'm sure whatever you're frying will look good now, instead of it's flesh torn off / scraped from the bottom of the pan. Good tip if you plan to cook to impress, since presentation is everything.

Ciao.
