Tip for Today: The wonders of Grape Seed Oil

Ever heard of free radicals? Free radicals in our body can cause genetic defects leading to cancer and hereditary damages. Antioxidants diminish the effects of free radicals and therefore, are considered a preventive element to many diseases (cardiovascular disease, cancer, Alzheimer's disease etc).

Oligomeric proanthrocyanidins, (OPC) is a potent antioxidant. Lab tests of antioxidant effect of OPC is 50-times stronger than that of vitamin E and 18.4-times stronger than vitamin C. That’s a lot of antioxidant. There is only one food containing OPC in a higher quantity - grape seeds, therefore also cold-pressed grape seed oil. I’m sure most of you know what grape seed oil is.

How do you take Grape Seed Oil?

First of all, it is important to understand that Grape Seed Oil is NOT MEDICINE. There are numerous methods to consume Grape Seed Oil. You may wish to take it raw as much as you like, to use as salad dressing, for dips, or for cooking. However, for continuity, it is recommended to take at least one table spoon 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner every day.
