Tip of The Day: Olive (Oyl)?
This is an age-old tip I remembered during a recent trip to my uncle's house. The district he lives in is one of the driest places in the country, and there's hardly any rain for days at a stretch. When we got there, we noticed that he had a few bottles of virgin olive oil in the house.
Dry weather can cause chapped lips, dry (and falling hair), and a host of other problems associated with moisture/ water loss from your body. For most of the problems, there are products that are sold off-the-shelves that can help.
Back to chapped lips, my uncle uses the olive oil he bought for his kids. Kids being kids, its normal on days like this to have chapped lips, especially if they play outside a lot. Put some oil on the lips once every morning and when going to bed for a few days (sometimes up to a week), and your lips will be fine again.
It can also help in restoring the health of your hair by protecting your follicles from drying out.
OK, hope this helps. I'll post later.
P/S: Hubby's going to ask his uncle (who's an Indian Muslim) about Indian tips for things like these. He knows a lot of stuff. Post later if there's an update on this.
