Tip of the Day: The Usefulness of cloves

Cloves are widely used in my country for cooking, as it adds to the taste of whatever’s being cooked. However, cloves can also help in a variety of ways; here I will list 3 other uses of cloves.

1.    If you have a toothache and want to delay seeing the doc (for all the good THAT’LL do you), you might want to           chew on some cloves to alleviate the pain. Hey, it’s a natural alternative to painkillers, so why not try it out. It’s dirt        cheap (at least in my country) and it works. But not forever – sooner or later you will need to see good ol’ doc to          remove that bad teeth.

2.   Second, quitting smoking can be much, much easier if you chew on cloves once you get the urge for nicotine                  (works for caffeine addictions, too). I know a few relatives and friend who did this and it seems to work. An uncle         of mine even quit cold turkey and chewed on cloves.

3.   Soaking cloves in warm water for several hours and drinking it can also be effective in removing body odour,                 especially for women. This is an age-old advice that most people here know already – I’m just sharing this.

There you have it. Something natural, simple yet so effective. I’ll post other tips later.
